I have 14 years of experience and legal video knowledge supported by my training and certification by the American Guild of Court Videographers (AGCV). With a notary  public commission, as an officer of the court, I have the authority to swear in the deponent and take the testimony even if there is no stenographic court reporter present. Also, the State of California requires videographers to be a notary public in order to video record certain types of witnesses, usually “expert” witnesses.
